Description
The CMO Bulk Planner will be responsible for inventory management of Pharmaceutical products from bulk PO placement at the International manufacturing site to packaging scheduling in the United States. The Planner will also place purchase orders on APL for bulk, bright stock, and packaging components to maintain agreed upon inventory levels to support packaging operations.
- Manage the creation and distribution of the weekly inventory report to  management as a dashboard for inventory management decisions.
- Place purchase orders on APL for bulk, bright stock, and packagiing components to maintain agreed upon inventory levels to support packaging operations.
- Place purchase orders for finished goods to maintain agreed upon service levels for products
- Collaborate with Customer Service, Auropackaging scheduler, and Marketing staff to support allocation and prioritization of packaging schedules to meet customer needs based on inventory constraints identified at S&OP meetings.
- Review Sales Force RFP/NBO opportunities for lead times and capacity constraints to insure proper responses to customer requests.
- Identify mismatches between forecasts and production plans and work with global supply chain to mitigate problem areas.
- Support S&OP process by developing action plans for all outstanding issues, reviewing key metrics, and driving decision making to meet US sales and inventory objectives.
- Coordinate with US import compliance group on changes to NDC numbers, packaging SKUs, and bulk manufacturing sites to update ACE templates.
- Work with Commercial Operations and Sales to build relationships with key customers reqarding availability of backordered product, changes in leadtimes, and other service-level concerns.
- Other duties/projects as assigned.



Qualifications

Educational & Skill Requirements
- 3-5 years experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or supply chain planning. 
- Pharmaceutical experience is preferred but not required. 
- Experience in dealing with CMO/3PL suppliers is preferred.
- Must possess strong analytical, prioritization, communication, and strategic thinking skills.  Must be able to multi-task and focus on details. 
- Must possess a working knowledge of DRP/ERP planning systems and MicroSoft Office applications.  Advanced Excel skills are highly desirable. 
- Must speak English fluently. 
- BA/BS degree required, with APICS certification highly desirable. 
- Preferences:  Experience with Oracle DRP, working in a global/international supply chain environment, good mathmatical apptitude and written communication skills.
