This task requires applying analytical processes to the planning, design and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations.


Dashboard and Business Intelligence Report Administration/Architecture

1. Perform requirements analysis for new system features, analysis of current system capabilities and limitations and design/engineer new system capabilities to meet requirements.
2. Administer, design and maintain real time enterprise dashboards integrating data from numerous data sources into web based dashboard displays that update in real time. Example technologies on which the dashboards may be based include Edge Technologies' AppBoard and enPortal, IBM Real Time Monitoring, and other similar dashboard systems that update in real time.
3. Administer, design and maintain custom business intelligence reports for static, "point in time” reporting systems such as IBM Cognos, Tableau, Microstrategy and other similar systems.
4. Define, design, develop and deliver flexible/user friendly reports and operational dashboards with "drill-thru " features that meet business users needs and ensure data security.
5. Verify correctness and completeness of data model, data relationships, mappings, and definitions.
6. Develop and deliver operational dashboards based on SQL queries and Web Services calls to seamlessly integrate a wide variety of data source including performance and availability monitoring of all network monitoring data sources.
7. Interface dashboard technologies with data sources and data provided through a virtual data federation layer tool to include tools such as Denodo virtual data federation.
8. Develop, using java programming skills, custom capabilities for dashboard technologies and develop custom interfaces to integrate dashboard tools with 3rd party products.
9. Accurately report hours into the ITOPS IO time reporting system on a daily basis.


A Senior Software/System Architect must have extensive experience in the coordination of program and project leaders to identify requirements for system architecture. Must be able to identify strategies for addressing requirements. Must have extensive experience with analysis of requirements against fiscal, schedule, and performance issues. Has extensive experience in taking program requirements and is able to create an architecture vision having experience in high volume and high availability networks and systems. Experience in creating and conveying to team members the architectural vision for a program or project. Is responsible for dictating design choices to software developers, including but not limited to: platforms, coding and technical levels. Experience in establishing and enforcing standards and practices. Overseeing the development team, he manages the full life cycle of the software development process. Has extensive software development experience and thorough knowledge of a variety of programming languages and logic.

- Masters Degree or equivalent work experience
- Previous Consulting experience
- Oracle BI Certified
- Enterprise Service Bus

Certifications or specialized skills/training required:

Experience with Enterprise Service Bus / Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) solutions
Experience / Knowledge of networking protocols and security, with the ability to troublshoot network connectivity issues
Experience working in a development operations role supporting applications through the Software Development Lifecyle
Identify issues with current and proposed system architecture and recommend changes as needed
Extensive experience supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux

MINIMUM EDUCATION/ MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Master's Degree/10 years' experience Computer Science, EE, or other engineering technical discipline. 10 years additional relevant experience substituted for education.
