Job Description
The Network Administrator is responsible for systems management in an Army NG environment which includes network, file and print services, hardware, software and application support, Active Directory administration, Nutanix VM support, patch management, system backups, and monitoring.  In addition, this position interfaces with the helpdesk ticketing system (Remedy), IT support entities and the end-user to resolve incidents.

- Support Operation and management of ARNG systems and network infrastructure; 
- Support Improving infrastructure monitoring and reporting capabilities based on the deployment of network management software; 
- Support Development and maintaining infrastructure documentation relating to the network infrastructure within the ARNG DOIM environment;
- Supporting testing procedures for new infrastructure projects;
- Support Implementation of technology solutions within the network environment;
- Provide informal training and knowledge transfer to users relating to network products. 
- Support MS Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 domain and Active Directory 
- Support VMware Administration
- Perform Server installation/rebuild, configuration and administration
- Manage Active Directory, user accounts, passwords, mailboxes, databases, file level permissions, Group Policy and Organizational Units
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes by reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
- Able to manage and deploy software patches and updates and update release cycles with SCCM / CMCB
- Provide Tier II and III hardware and software support; including network printer and copier support


Required Qualifications and Skills:
It is required that the Senior Telecommunications Engineering Specialist have the qualifications and certifications listed below:  
- IAT Level II Certification  
o    CompTIA Security+
- All applicants must be U.S. Citizens and have a current security clearance (NACLAC) eligibility, day one and prior to entry on duty.  

Desired Qualifications and Skills:
It is desirable that the candidate has the following qualifications:
- CompTIA Network+ or CCNA or CCNP Desired
- 4 - 6 Years of Network Administration Experience
- A relevant educational degree in one of the follow fields: Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Statistics, Business Administration, Systems Engineering, Computation Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Information Security and Assurance, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Telecommunications.
