Description

We are recruiting a highly driven Portfolio Resource Manager that has a proven track record of portfolio strategy and cross-functional resource allocation experience. The Portfolio Resource Manager has overall accountability for helping shape the MMS portfolio strategy, ensuring the needed functional competencies, capacity, and risk profile information exists to allow our Senior Leadership to make portfolio decisions.
In this role, you will work with Program and Functional Managers to architect and maintain assumption-based resource forecasts to improve project and portfolio predictability and overall investment allocation. You will also participate in the creation and maintenance of the multi-year generational product and technology roadmap, ensuring investment alignment with resource forecasts and available investment is maintained.


Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with program and portfolio management teams to develop and provide senior business leadership the information necessary to appropriately allocate R&D resources – providing portfolio visibility to active and proposed projects
Take an active leadership role in portfolio strategy development and NPD resource allocation, generating creative, action-oriented insights and recommendations for the business
Develop, implement and maintain state of the art resource management tools to support the portfolio
Participate in the creation and maintenance of the multi-year generational product and technology roadmaps, ensuring investment alignment with project resource forecasts
Work with Program and Functional Managers to forecast and reconcile the resource allocations for active development projects
Ensure effective and efficient regular formal and informal communications with the Program and Portfolio Management and NPD Core Teams using a variety of tools and channels
Ensures compliance with the company's global innovation and product development processes



Qualifications

Qualifications:
Proven expertise in portfolio strategy development and resource allocation recommendation for a large new product development portfolio (>$100M of investment)
Proven Program Manager with a track record of delivering complex hardware and software new product development projects within a matrixed cross-functional team
Experience developing and managing resource forecasting systems for hardware and software product development core teams
Demonstrated ability to successfully influence people and teams at all levels without direct authority
Proven success building employee engagement; creating, communicating and building understanding of a shared portfolio vision
Highly motivated, dynamic and customer-centric individual who thrives in a challenging and changing environment

Minimum Qualifications:
•Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in new product and portfolio management.
•Developing and implementing tools and systems for global resource management
•MBA with a strong focus on technology commercialization
•Experience managing cross functional new product development core teams in Med Tech industries with capital hardware and IaaS / SaaS software solutions is preferred
•Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
•Direct people management
•Managing large global portfolios
