Please consider joining the Company technology team as a DevOps Engineer. They want an engineer that has a passion to be a part of a growing team that is responsible for designing, developing, and operating the infrastructure and applications that make data onboarding solution work.  They are looking for someone to work in a startup environment that is constantly growing and evolving. The ideal candidate can work with teammates in troubleshooting problems, identifying resolutions, and assessing situations in real time.  Their team is empowered to keep our fast-paced, high volume processing environment operational for their clients and partners.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining our existing infrastructure and code.  
- Be involved in real-time assessment of issues and help develop solutions
- Create tools and solutions to manage and monitor our rapidly growing infrastructure and operations.
- Monitor software and systems to detect issues before they impact business operations
- Build and design solutions that mitigate risk and increase efficiencies
- Automate processes and sub-processes to enable greater scale and speed
- Take part in performance & capacity monitoring and planning



Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or commensurate experience/related field
- Have 2-3 years of DevOps-like work or experience in a real time operational processing environment
- Experience as Linux systems administrator
- Have proficiency in one or more major programming or scripting languages (i.e. Java, Perl, Python, Ruby, G0)
- Working knowledge OSI model and the interactions between layers
- Working knowledge of storage systems and formats (i.e. S3, Glacier, EBS, EFS, EBS Snapshots)
- Ability to identify problems, and effectively communicate solutions to peers and management
OTHER VALUABLE SKILLS:
- Experience with data flow and queue management using tools like Kafka and Flume
- Experience with a RDBMS – PostgreSQL, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Exposure to NoSQL/Big Data: Hadoop, HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB
