30 - Daily
• Research product acquisition and licensing targets• On a regular basis come up with ideas and opportunities that can build the portfolio for the company. • Analyze competitive drug landscape from both financial and scientific perspectives • Gathering all the information about the product/brand/company and therapy area from various sources.• Studying the available resources in the company and evaluating their utility in development of the company• Studying the trends of the market and developing plans based on the current market scenario• Utilize secondary market data and perform primary market research to thoroughly evaluate product / brand / company opportunities.• Identify and select vendors to assist in primary market research projects.
30 - Daily
• Create product and company models and construct term sheets • Creating financial and forecasting models which can be applied across therapy areas of interest and flexible to accommodate a variety of deal structures Work closely with VP of Business Development and Strategic Alliance Management and all functional areas as they relate to business development activities • Working closely with the product development department of the company in order to develop business models
20 - Daily
• Review potential in-licensing candidates. Support any needed due diligence and prepare/present medically sound strategy and plans associated with advanced opportunities. • Contribute and support clinical initiatives to improve the quality and content of all clinical programs as well as the cross functional/organization processes designed to effectively deliver our R&D portfolio.

• Support senior management in deal negotiations, due diligence and execution • Prepare, manage, and maintain electronic research databases with high attention to accuracy and completeness • Ensuring as a team that the company gets a good return on its investment
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
As an integral member of the Business Development team the Business Development Analyst provides support to the Business Development, Project Planning, Clinical Development and Corporate Finance Teams; will provide current reviews of research literature, maintain orderly literature libraries, and processes research inquiries from team members. The Business Development Analyst will provide financial analysis of targeted projects, creating financial models and scenario assessments. This will be accomplished done in close working with the finance team and senior management. He/She will utilize their prior experience in corporate environment or research institution, and proven ability to interact and communicate with administrative, research, institutional staff and key internal and external stakeholders. He/She will identify existing databases available and in case of gaps work closely with third party vendors to get market and product assessments done is financially efficient manner. In doing so the role should be understand, evaluate and challenge the vendors in their assessments to ensure decisions made by the company, based on the findings, are sound and enable fiscally responsible decisions.



Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED & REQUIRED
Required:• Bachelor's or Master's degree• 5 or more years of experience in market research, business development, finance or brand management in small or large biotech or pharmaceutical industry• Market research experience working internally or externally with vendors to conduct detailed analysis and recommendations of markets, products competition, healthcare stakeholders and internal company capabilities.•Keen observation skills in order to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the competitors.• Creativity and innovative thinking to get market assessments done in a financially efficient manner.• Excellent analytic and logical thinking power• Excellent decision making• Excellent communications skills• Ability and willingness to roll up the sleeves and get work done• Proficiency in MS office, especially excel• Strong interest in the Healthcare sector• Strong multitasking & prioritizing skills – candidates should expect to work on several major projects at any given time• Ability and willingness to roll up the sleeves and get work done • Travel required 10% of the time.• Expertise in word, powerpoint, exel and data sources to aid analysis.
